Blair Group’s Golf Tournament Generates
Record Donations for Make-A-Wish

Since 2006, the Blair Open has raised over $180,000

Lakeland, Fla. (May 12, 2016) – On Friday, May 13, Blair Group will host its 28th Annual Blair Open Golf Tournament at Cypress Lakes’ Big Cypress Golf Club in Lakeland, Florida.

Since 2006, this event has generated over $180,000 for Make-A-Wish Central & Northern Florida. Blair Group president, Bob Young and his partner, Steve Sembler have united with Make-A-Wish for the past 11 years and in doing so have helped to grant 24 wishes of 24 deserving children impacted by life-threatening medical conditions.

Make-A-Wish Central & Northern Florida advisory board member and tournament participant, Penny Parks said, “Seeing the Blair Group community come together on behalf of these children is such an inspiring experience and because of their efforts our Wish Kids are able to envision life beyond doctors appointments with renewed hope.”

Event day food was donated by SYSCO, and generous contributions from the many friends, vendors and associates of Bob Young and Blair Group continue to come in.
