Blair Open Continues to Support Make-A-Wish

Since 2005 the annual golf event at Cypress Lakes has raised approximately $115,000

Tampa, Fla. (May 31, 2013) – A week from today on June 7, the Blair Group will host the 25th annual Blair Open Golf Tournament at Big Cypress Country Club in Lakeland, Florida. Since 2005, the event has generated over $115,000 for Make-A-Wish Foundation® Central & Northern Florida to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Blair Group owner, Bob Young, is pleased with his company’s vendors, suppliers, employees and friends, helping to generate funding for 17 wishes since the partnership began. “Since we partnered with Make-A-Wish, the tournament has taken on a more meaningful objective for all involved,” said Young. “Everyone has a day of fun and camaraderie knowing that their donation will bring smiles to the kids and their families as they are awarded their wishes.”

Make-A-Wish Central & Northern Florida, regional director, Lisa Andrews is thankful for the support. “We are so grateful for Blair Group’s continued commitment to being joy and happiness to our wish children, their families and communities throughout the I-4 corridor.
